Welcome to Africa Riding Adventures Tours, located in Addis Ababa the capital city of Ethiopia. As the only motorbike tour operator in Ethiopia we provide you with the unique opportunity to experience the vastness, wilderness, culture and history of Ethiopia on a state of the art KTM motorcycle.

But we don't stop here! If you would like to combine your Ethiopia Bike Adventure with a trip to Uganda, Sudan or Kenya we can also organise it for you!

We provide tours mainly during the dry season (mid-September to mid-June) but if you would like to come in the months in-between contact us and we will let you know where it is possible to ride a bike at this time of the year.

New itineraries and schedule for our 2009/2010 Calendar Tour season.

BLACK ELEPHANT ADVENTURE TOUR scouting trip - We have now tested half of the route and visited the Omo National park. We can tell you it's an unbelievably fantastic ride in all senses!!! Absolutely amazing scenery and wildlife as you don't see anywhere else in the country. Unlike other parts of Ethiopia here you can ride miles and miles without spotting another single soul. Probably level 4 for off-road enthusiasts who like to ride on off-the-beaten tracks. We will visit Gambela very, very soon at which point we will upload a definite route for this new tour in our website. We are also considering changing the tour dates. Although we are now positive that this area is dry during the rainy season we also know that it will be very hard and dangerous to get there during the rains due to very slippery roads and muddy tracks.
