Day 1: |
Departure to Arba Minch (Forty Springs), which takes its name, from the bubbling streams springing up and is right in the Rift Valley making it the perfect base to explore the region. We will take a short-cut to Arba Minch. Don't expect an easy ride (440 km asphalt)!

Day 2: |
Visit the Nech Sar National Park and ride through beautiful tracks, fantastic for bird watching and wildlife spotting. In the afternoon take a boat trip in Lake Chamo, one of the biggest in the region, and be amazed by one of the most impressive displays of big crocodiles and hippos in Africa (110 Km off- road).

Day 3: |
Departure to Jinka through Betu. Today will be a fantastic riding day where you will have lots of fun. Riding will be done through different terrains and rivers, crossing both mountaineous and flat landscape (+/- 195 km off-road).

Day 4: |
Departure to Mago National Park where the Mursi Tribe will be one of the main points of interest. Mursi women split and stretch their lower lips to make room for the insertion of terracotta or wooden dishes as a sign of beauty. After the visit we will continue crossing the Mago National park famed for its wilderness filled with the larger wildlife species expected from the African Savannah. Reach Murulle campsite in the late afternoon (150 km off-road).

Day 5: |
Visit the Karo tribes, which are experts at painting using clays and locally available vegetable pigments to trace fantastic patterns on each other’s faces, chests, arms and legs. Continue to Turmi. On the way there will be some difficult tracks for about 30 km. As usual they're real fun to ride ( 90 km off-road).

Day 6: |
Departure to Omorate where other Omo Valley tribes like the Geleb live. Geleb men sculpt and shave their hair into extravagant shapes, with special ochre ‘caps’ of hair usually containing several ostrich feather. Return to Turmi in the late afternoon (+/- 230 km off-road).

Day 7: |
Visit Lake Stephany which presents an awesome spectacle of blistering saline lake bed bounded in the distance by jagged mountains. Enjoy riding at full speed close to the wild animals. The Monday market in Turmi is not to be missed, with large numbers of Hamer people coming to buy, sell and exchange news. Visit one village of the Hamer tribe and if lucky see the bull jumping ceremony (+/- 80 km off-road).

Day 8: |
Departure to Yabelo, through Konso. If time allows we will visit one of the villages of this extraodinarily welcoming people who still practice mummification (310 km off-road).

Day 9: |
Departure to Negele Borena through Yabelo Sanctuary and the region of Borena through a landscape every inch worth of admiration (230 km off-road).

Day 10: |
Departure to Goba through a mountainous setting reaching altitudes as high as 4,000 meters. We will ride to the top of Mount Batu which reaches 4,377 meters. Be prepared for a very cold night (280 km off-road)!

Day 11: |
In the morning visit the Bale National Park. The wild life and vegetation are some of the most rare in the country and some of it like the Mountain Nyala Antelope and the Red Fox are endemic to Ethiopia. We will leave to Lake Langano in the late morning where you can relax in its beautiful shores. Don't forget your swiming suit (210 km off-road)!

Day 12: |
After a relaxing morning in the lake or a visit to Shala and Abyata Lakes National Park we will depart to Addis. In the evening we will have a farewell dinner in one of the best restaurants of Addis. There are many good Restaurants, Bars, Discos, Jazz Live Music and Cultural Dance venues to offer if you want to extend your stay (210 km asphalt).
